Marsovin is the second oldest winery in Malta, founded in 1919. For the visitor to Malta Marsovin is often known as the readily available La Valette, but there is a lot more to Marsovin than that. They have a wide range of wines under six labels,

Marsovin's Ghajn Rihana Estate
During the last ten years Marsovin has produced a limited edition flagship wine - Grand Maitre - which is produced from grapes from the Ghajn Rihana Estate. Marsovin is also the producer of Cassar de Malte, which is the only sparkling wine in Malta that is made by "methode traditionelle" (same method as Champagne) and undergoes the secondary fermentation in the bottle. Cassar de Malte is made purely from Chardonnay grapes grown at the Wardija Valley Estate.

By prior appointment tours of the winery can be arranged. Usually the tours start with a presentation of the history of the company and wine making methods. Then there will be a visit to the cellar follwed by a tutored tasting of some of Marsovin's wines accompanied by a few nibbles.
