A seafood speciality restaurant in a fishing village has got to be good and Gente di Mare provides a great dining experience with super seafood. The menu varies depending on what produce is available on the day and you can find some exciting specials.
All the fish is selected directly from the local fishing boats so you will be sure to get the pick of the catch. It is this freshness that gives Gente di Mare such and advantage and which is used to full effect by the kitchen.
If you are lucky, you may find a good catch of lobsters like last time when I dined here and this was produced into a lobster thermidor and rigatoni starter for two. It was beautifully executed by the Chef Patron Mauro Azzopardi.
The pasta dishes here are of the highest standard and there is a great selection for vegetarians, for example the pasta with Tartufo and cream (Italian deluxe mushrooms).
The freshest of fish is available for main course, which can be grilled or oven baked in a foil parcel delicately flavoured with herbs and vegetables.
The restaurant is located in the picturesque fishing village Marsaxlokk, the perfect location for an after dinner walk.
This restaurant is well worth a special trip and they can arrange special menus for group bookings and special occasions.
